Heavy Duty Web Belt
What is the best sewing machienes to use on the leather strap and thick canvas.?
After reading your son, I decided to drop a line yo. I have two son serving in Afghanistan that doctors in the RAMC. They both lead to over 90 books in the kit I started to buy heavy straps and strengthen the same with strands of leather. I have to do all that using a hand Punch & Wireless shoemakers. As two of my son carry blocks doctor adds to the weight of the kit they carry, it is a problem. Is there a good sewing machine that can do well out with the requirements of sewing several layers and layers of leather straps (pouches) and reinforce the belt kits they need to perform using their wounded comrades in the theater. The question of "packages are simply not up as they rip it like putting a cart in a bag week made from toilet roll. as one of my guys said. So, can you please help. I admit to having little experience with intensive use sewing machine.
Nothing but a machine will pass through several layers of shoe leather and / or canvas. Have you tried the materials back? They weigh not as much as leather, but are quite heavy duty and it would be easier and cheaper to make them several times this tissue. You could ask a guy shoes local repair if it has an old machine, you can buy, or can order one from his wholesaler. If you tell him what it is that he could you give consent or even free. It's worth at least shot!
